Lovely historic hotel located close enough to the center, the marina, and transport links and shops. Delicious and wonderful breakfast at a nearby Starbucks and knowledgeable staff. Top-notch service and fair value. Downstairs bar and nice pool. Marvellous location, 15 minutes' walk to an interactive museum. Also, in downtown San Diego.

This trip was a surprise for my mom and I wanted to stay at a 5 star hotel, and I got just that. The place is beautiful!! The bed was magnificent and the fitness center was so cool. Everything about the room was perfect.
The things I didn't like about the hotel was the price of food and beverages were a little outrageous, but I do understand that this is a high-class hotel...but no worries cuz there is a mall right across the street and a Coffee Bean just down the street. The parking was pretty expensive though and I was pretty bummed that there wasn't a pool at the facility.

We got great value for our money with a super large and clean room, along with excellent water pressure in the shower. The hotel staff was attentive and the concierge provided us with loads of helpful information about the local area. The location was perfect, on the fringe of both the Gaslamp quarter and Little Italy.
Food for breakfast could have been better.

We enjoyed the Grant very much. The room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom also a good size.Lobby and restaurants are first class. We went to the cocktail bar which was good and had breakfast in the ground floor restaurant and it was excellent.
Coming from Asia we though valet parking with overnight parking charge for the hire car in the hotel at $28 was a bit rich and then tips etc etc.People in Asia do not pay stupid prices like that to park a car and we do not need to tip here either. Also I recall we stayed on the 3rd or 4th floor and our room simply looked over the roof over the lobby space that was littered with airconditioning compressors and equipment .a bit noisy. When we checked in they said your room is not ready but we have something on the 3rd floor ready to go.In other words they gave us a dud room and we were exhausted so had no choice. We wanted a shower and some rest and conceded. And that was when we checked in at 3pm.That we did not like.

The room was a nice size and newly remodeled, providing us with a view out to the front. It was a pleasant overnight stay.
